Quercus Rober; An English Oak

I studied an oak tree on the grounds I was living on for a year in Northern Scotland; through the winter, spring, summer and autumn.  Following a tree through its life cycle was fun and informative.  It was a pleasure to paint acorns and spring buds, the bark and the winter outline of the tree.  "Mighty Oaks from Little Acorns grow."
