Rich Colour-Time

After moving and re-setting up, its time to get into the shading, bouncy sunlight yellows and remember to save the white spaces! My "Gung-Ho Guava" is coming along a bit too slowly but I feel I'm afraid to finish it because I'm worried about finding paper AGAIN!!! I may have to do an hours drive to the nearest "small-biggest" mountain town to scour art supply stores in a few days, I'm nearing the end of my painting here, I can feel it!
Even though the paints I found aren't of professional translucence quality, I feel I'm getting the image I have in my mind onto the paper. I'll probably work some soft chalk pastels into the paper at the end to bring more texture in. Perseverance is the name of the game these days!
I'm doing daily morning hiking and/or some light yoga classes to stay mentally balanced as time ticks into more India time for me as lockdown for international flights seems to be continuing. Finding a decent hotel with air-con, hot water and wifi with a view and some freedoms has been a real score! I am very blessed to be painting within the majestic fold of the lower Himalayas these days in the holy town of Rishikesh and will try my best to continue to do so!
OMMM & Onward!!
