Fantastical Fig In Flower

February 2026, one full year back home in Texas.

The fig represents enlightenment, security, abundance & peace.  These are journeys I have taken on the way back home, now, truly unpacking for the 1st time in 6 years. Exploring with "enlightenment" throughout Buddhist countries, feeling the four walls of home ownership, being full and blessed with vitality and an inner calm accompanying me. 

There was a fig tree here on my property, when it was my mother's.  Unfortunately someone cut it without asking, maybe a neighbor, maybe a tenant, maybe the prop management, don't know. However, it was a tree I will replant later in life when I am here for good. For now, this artwork takes place in a special corner of my home where I sit watching the rising sun with my coffee most days, I call it my Buddha Corner.

Throughout life we collect journeys, experiences, loves and loss. I have come to a point where I accept the sad and the glad, both with equal knowledge in that this too shall pass.
