Chandeliers, Coffee Cafes & Bicycles

I have simply been loving my time here in Bacalar!  I have been here long enough to of established my favorite haunts, like this one with huge chandeliers in the entryway and great espresso!  A few sailing days and a sunset cruise, swings in the lagoon to dip feet in, large white birds and double scoops of ice cream, I feel like this is a real summer kind of holiday in my bones.  The Lagoon of 7 Colours has been surprisingly peaceful even with the tourist boats.  There isn't a party vibe at all and it has been very simple and quiet.  A few days straight inside during the heat of the afternoon's in my cute little aircon-ed studio working on new products and Insta pics has been fun too.

I have two more nights here and will be heading back to Playa del Carmen February 1st.  I have a small surprise for readers 1st week of Feb. but until I know 100% I'll keep quiet!

Life has its twists and turns and not all journeys are a straight line, that is a big hint...Bali is calling and it will be an interesting route back!

Until then, I will enjoy my coffee under the lights, the heat on my skin as I breeze through town and the wind in my hair as I have one more sailing trip scheduled!

Dreams Do Become Reality

...when you set your mind to them!

I LOVE creating compositions that show off the fruit, flower and spice with the bud, full bloom, stem, leaves, perhaps bark if a tree, seeds, root and more depending on what I am showing for my MEJCREATIONS site. Now I am getting suck a kick out of making print-on-demand "Swim, Yoga & Lifestyle" Items for my MEJSPIRIT online business.

Here I show the "As Good As Gold Aloe" to full advantage with the bud, flower, and gel filled leaves. This High Waisted Bikini is created in conjunction with a company called REPREVE that recycles plastic bottles and polyester to make a very soft and durable fabric.

I am in Bacalar Mexico now and have a full week of creation time, the works here was painted in Texas a few years ago and I am working on the Blue Bonnet, State flower of Texas, products tonight. Texas is full of amazing medicinal plants like the Aloe however the Blue Bonnet is just pure beauty, no medicine other than the medicine of happiness when you see these flowers along the highways!

Art, Yoga & Depok Chopra Time!

I was lucky enough to get a complimentary ticket to see some people working within the Depok Chopra circles yesterday!  I went to a full day of events here in Tulum at a very lovely 5 star hotel not far from the center.  He actually speaks for a few hours today but am giving it a miss due to moving on tomorrow and wanting to meet up with some nice surprise friends from Bali and also a few new one's I have made here!  It has been a full day already!

The yoga at 9am was challenging and a lecture by the Mexican version of Osho, Prem Dayal, was impressive.  I enjoyed the pool area, dance music throughout the day, artwork and a few views of a large lake and a few cenotes.  Once again, bumping into random people I have met here and have known before has been a real joy of mine!

Here I show some of the art and the morning yoga class with Ashtanga Style.

Tomorrow I head to a nature reserve area called Bacalar and will be kayaking, biking and sailing too.  I will be indulging in that for 8 days before heading back to Playa del Carmen to collect my art and painting supplies and enjoy another 3 days visiting yet another good friend I have made in that area.  I feel like I have created a small network here of good people to be surrounded by and that feels so great! I will definitely revisit The Yucatan again!

The Yucatan & 2023 is Here!

I am thrilled to be exploring the Yucatan this past 6 weeks and have 3 more to go!  I flew from Lima to Cancun 1st week of December and have been busy getting to know one side of Tulum, the very new agey yippy side (I say yippy because it isn't quite hippy, it is hippy and yuppy mixed, my own word, haha), then to Playa del Carmen for 10 days which was like a So. Califirnia surfer beach town with bike riding along shopping streets and coves.  Now I am back in Tulum at a beautiful yoga retreat center I have had my eye on for over 2 years, Holistika!

My art creations have been put on hold however I am using this time to get back into my MEJSPIRIT online Swimsuit and Lifestyle products that I advertise on Instagram and a Facebook Business page.  I actually enjoy creating my products and sharing some travel pics along with the opportunity to take some self indulgent selfies to share, hehe.

The plan as of now is to enjoy Holistika for the week then I am back in the heart of Tulum for more of what there is here with some local beach time and then I am heading to a Nature Reserve so to speak called Bacalar with a lagoon and Mayan ruins for 10 days.  That will take me to Feb. 1st where I head back to Playa del Carmen where my art supplies and such are in storage at the hotel I will be staying at for a week then back to Cancun to end my journey in some nice hotel on the beach that will be fairly like being in Honolulu!

Traveling can be challenging, exhausting at times but it is 95% awesome, opening in all ways, enlightening and surprising!

Thanks for staying in touch dear reader, hope your New year 2023 is the best ever!

Here I share one of my best selling prints, REFLECTIONS, with my One Piece and Bikini creations.
