Strong Creative Surge

These past weeks I'bve been settling into the sweet town of San Miguel de Allende and have decided to stay on through the end of June.  I have been able to create a lovely work-space here in my sunshiney apartment also so this means I don't have to move next month!  I rearranged furniture and got rid of some items that cluttered the space so now there are 2 work-spaces for me; one for my laptop online work for my MEJSPIRIT site, and one for my hands-on brush to paper works; MEJCREATIONS.

I started the Mamey Sapote fruit & flower painting back in February and I am very pleased to be able to get back to it now.  What with my early morning rising's at 6am and working through 10am, I then enjoy the gym and/or a yoga class and then an afternoon of some sun around the pool and steam and/or sauna with an early evening of painting some more before a light dinner and early 7pm film & READING BEFORE BED through about 9pm when lights out.  (I NEVER am on media or film/series before lights out, always book in hand,  phone off by 6/7pm.)  I may of mentioned this pattern before but I do find it keeps me looking and feeling good, I wake full of alive energy to work and feel accomplished before heading out of my little self-created world and find myself in Mexico!  I am living in Mexico!  WOW!

I love moving to new countries and setting up a life there, enjoying new connections, seeing new sights, engaging with fresh activities.  It is what I thrive on along with my creative life as it is and have space for more when something catches my attention.

I hope to have this lust for life forever and I plan to feed my soul everyday in everyway that scream health & vitality!  What a world I live in, what a world I've created...and you can too...just figure out what you want and plan and then take those tiny baby steps everyday...there is no way you can't get there!  Aho!

San Miguel de Allende; House of the Sun

Right here in Mexico I have found a beautiful live-in hotel with sunshine all around!  San Miguel de Allende is such a sweet, artistic and vibrant town!!  I arrived here in February and was planning to leave early March but found myself staying on.  There is quite a mix of lifestyle's here and I have taken a bit of all.  I think my one main indulgence is joining the Rosewood Hotel which is a 5 star and has the whole gym/steam/sauna/pool thing going on with a sanctuary room with artisian teas and mac nut/peacan granola, there is wonderful iced water w sliced fruit and cucumber all over and luscious thick towels and equisite toiletries to use all inclusive.  I have also joined a fairly posh yoga center, Esencia, which is behind a lovely whole foods and eco-product/organic grocey shop.  These two ways of integrating health and fitness into my life has been a fine way to spend my days at at least one of these places.

Walking around this town is eye-opening too.  There are tiny sidewalks along both sides of the very cobbled streets.  I normally get around by scooter however this isn't something I will do here, a bit too risky with the steep hills and intense cobbles.  Even well heeled taxi drivers slip and go backwards when going uphill and must stop to give way, reminds me of San fransisco days in that reguard!

This is an artist's town 100%.  Every block has a few galleries and gorgeous boutiques with art and unique creations.  From cowboy boots with rinestones to linen designer wear, this place has it all!  The views from the top of the town down into the valley with the church steeples feels like youre in a special Italien village yet the costs aren't quite as high.  One can really enjoy just spending the day popping into various shops, having a coffee, doing a workout or yoga stretch class, hanging by a pool and there are a number of natural hot springs about too, just outside of the city.

I'm not sure if I'll be spending the rest of my time here, through end of June, or taking off mid May for one more spot in the country of Mexico.  Spending January in the big city of Mexico City was grand, however, I feel quite settled here and it is so nice to really get to know a place and I have established some lovely friendships also.  I will be moving next month however with the idea of having a work table again but for the time I am in the hotel I will be getting back into Margaret Elizabeth Johnston Swimwear and Lifestyle Products – MEJSPIRIT.  The table in this apartment isn't large enough for both the online work and the painting space I need but this is ok, it is nice to change it up!  Aribba!
