Mini Magic

Being on Maui in Hawaii for 2 months has been a full experiance of extremes. It began with rain and wet, dripping skies and muddy roads, then the sun shone through the clouds as heavey weather passed.  A month of sunlight frolicking, drum circles, new friends and beautiful  rainbows.  When traveling one never knows what will transpire but being open to all possibilities is the best option.  I did some camping this trip and it turned out to expose me to a strong network of friends here in Maui.  I have been living overseas in S.E. Asia where most have nothing, the abundance here in the USA is extreme and Maui has jumped in head first.  I am taken aback by the Maui vibe at present, but maybe because I have been exposed to so much more I feel this way.  I am blessed to of spent my 20's in Hawaii on the Big Island when there was much Aloha.  It is still here but it is in the nook and crannies one must find it...between the mansions and the golf courses, behind the fact that many people need subsidies for food and shelter.  Once again, Bali and Ubud, Nepal and Laos come out on top.  I have enjoyed my time here but will be carrying on.
