Vietnam; Cities, Mountains, Sea & Rivers

Hanoi, Sapa, Ha Long Bay in the South Sea China & Hoi An on the Thu Bon River, "Wow"! The first 2 weeks I was running around a lot between Hanoi/Sapa/Hanoi/Ha Long/Hanoi/Da Nang...but now I have been safely ensconced in a sweet little hotel in Hoi An and have had some down time to rekindle my blog and Insta page with some proper work again on my workboard, but this time, with pastels!  I took a lot of time off promotions and artwork (other than a few Botanical Illustration courses at the Uni. of Cambridge Botanical Gardens) when I was rekindling my Massage work/knowledge in Cambridge this past summer and then had a visit to the USA to check on my home.

This down time has allowed me to actually feel bored a bit all of a sudden, and that is such a luxury!  Of course, I can only take a few days feeling this way so I'm getting my Mojo revved for I still have one more week here until I move on.

I've managed a few pieces but still getting the hang of the oil pastels, they feel different under my hand, like oil painting! They slip and slide a lot. I am familiar with soft chalk pastel, so this IS different.

The monsoon swept through last night leaving all here shiny and bright, what a delight!
