Just having my eyes healed, I feel rearing to go with a creative project, one that I can mange in the Bangkok Pad. Starting a BLOOM WITH ME ALL YEAR calendar for 2025 is fun and easy-ish. It is fun to go through my various works and choose which ones represent which month. I only have 4 days left until I jump on a plane headed for a completely different scene in New Zealand for 3 full months.
I am wrapping up my time here in Bangkok with a feeling of accomplishment with my eyes and skin, seeing loads of art here and some fun time just hanging out in this city. Having a few "in" days for quiet before blasting off is best, along with this calendar creation!

When in Bali, I felt like I needed a bit of a city fling, not the romance kind with a person, but with a real vibrant city. Even when I was in the UK and living in Cambridge last year, that was more like a large village. I went to London a few times but I know London and was mainly going for skin care training.
This is a real joy to be in this "easy to get around" clean and vibrant city here in Bangkok. My cute pad has everything one could need; the aircon rocks, the hot water and washing machine, comfy bedding and fast wifi, all very perfect!
The light in here also streams in through the curtains and there are heavy black-out curtains for sleeping too. I found this place on AirB&B and I love it so much I was thinking to look into buying one of these studios! Hold on, hold on! Nah, just keep renting.
I am in the Sukhumvit area, in the past I was closer to the river and Silom/Rama IV area. I've also stayed near Khao-san Rd where all the backpackers are. But this area is fabulous, feels very up-scale. All the top-of-the-line malls and Uni institutes are here, as I've mentioned, 2 large parks (Benchakitti & Lumphini) and both the sky trams and metros are easily accessible.
Today I am headed into town towards the river to meet a friend of a traveling friend for lunch and some sharing, she owns a medical center in Mexico and travels between there and OZ! Looking forward, keeping calm, and carrying on! My eye is still in healing mode from surgery and i still have a week to wait to get my left eye done so this has become my main focus this month. (pun intended!)

Bangkok has so many art galleries to enjoy, some museums I haven't been to and also just a lovely selection of various city walks with different neighborhoods to explore. I'll have my sunglass's to keep dirt out of my eyes and exhaust fumes but for the most part, feel pretty confident being out again. I just had cataract surgery on one eye and will have 2nd eye done in 10 days. All is going fine however I haven't been able to be as active as I normally would. I have been enjoying some morning park walks and local mall and films though.
There are a number of places I have marked on GoogleMaps for today so one foot in front of the other! My 1st place of call is the Textile Museum, love seeing the patterns that represent various categories of families from royal to indigenous hill tribe folks. Amazing to see the threads being woven up close and personal also!
Woman are in charge of most of the knowledge passed down through the generations in a hands-on way, however there are also a few Thai history museums I look forward to also; The National Gallery Bangkok and the Nitasrattanakosin are 1st on my list!
Taking the river boat here is fun too, getting off at various places like the Wang Lang open air market, Phra Sumen Port and the pier at Wat Devaraj Kunch.
Sunshine is permeating the sky and the weather is a nice dry heat right now, not a humid wet one, so easy to be out & about!
