Infinity of Circles
This last month I've been immersed in my imagination of how to make some lovely lightweight products from my images as a "side note" to my original works of art on watercolour paper. While my Spring/Summer Expo is up at Paradiso in Ubud here in Bali, I am feeling like using this time to create things because IF there was more business at the cafe/theatre/cultural center the expo is at, there would be plenty of opportunity to sell things that relate to the works of art on the walls. This makes sense to me. Not everyone wants a print or has space for a picture on their walls, but, they might love the art and wouldn't mind having a bit of it to take home.
The picture here that I am posting comes from many years back, March 2017, when I attended an Indigenous Art Weavers Course in the Twin Towers of Petronas in Central Kuala Lumper. I met a lady there that had a juice bar and she just loved my work, we've been friends ever since. Back then we also arranged for her to have some of my prints. Now, today, as I move forward creating things in which I don't even have a ready made shop or buyers, not only did she buy a large Aloe Vera print but is now interested in incorporating her logo onto my wooden beads if and when I come to KL, basically she is a fan!
I title this post, Infinity of Circles because that is what is being created within my life and what is there for us all. What you do today will affect your tomorrow, and tomorrow can bring so much magic depending on what you do today! I am under no delusion that with my newfound love of some sweet items I am making that I will have an Etsy shop with 1000's of hits and many "likes" but the joy I get from making these things, exploring my imagination and actually going through with supply purchases, finalizing the actual making of things, creating the posts, making tags & all the social media possibilities that go with this is something of value as we all move into the new age of online work. It is also handy to have a boxful of ready made items when & if an opportunity presents itself here in Bali or elsewhere.
To imagine something for me, is welcome that into my reality, then, with a bit of discernment, take action and see where it leads!
