"I'm aiming on moving forward with the free-style openess of my paintings that are a mix of classical botanical illustration in conjunction with loose wet-on-wet work, and exploring how I can stimulate an inner thought process for others, bringing a feeling of reflection and sophistication into the work."
Living back in London and after the Chelsea Flower Show, I have a new palette of colours, cold pressed paper rather than the rough I am used to and also a more refined surrounds in order to gather new inspiration. My various places of living have allowed me to explore different styles however I have never had an actual painting space in London, so I am excited to begin! Lots of celebrations going on in London Town this weekend with the Royal Wedding, Chelsea Flower Show and spring arriving in general, I am spending the weekend soaking it all up, then starting on the Tuesday of this week begin the drawing process of something that has been created in my mind's eye...looking forward to getting paint to paper!

The world famous London Chelsea Flower Show is taking place this week, I have a ticket for Wednesday at $100 a pop, but it is so fabulous it is worth it! Mind boggling creations from all over the world come together to create vivid colourful and imaginary gardens to stimulate even the non-green thumb person to go buy a plant and start gardening! The Chelsea Flower Show has been held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London every year since 1913, apart from gaps during the two World Wars. Once Britain's largest flower show (it has now been overtaken by RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show), it is still the most prestigious.

Tonight I fly to London, it's been a good year and 8 months on the road...even though I'm still "on the road", when I go to London...I'm not really. It is my birthcountry with family and old friends however sometimes the experiances one has is just so overwhelming whether it is an emotional, mental, physical or spiritual experiance that one just has to sit back and marvel at life on this planet, what it has to offer and for us to absorb...work with, feel and BE. This journey has been incredible from the mountains in Laos, islands in Malaysia, nature in Borneo, deep introspection in Bali (Ubud), the majesty of the Himalayas in Nepal, India and all the extreme highs and lows one has to feel almost everyday and then back to Ubud for a well rounded "ending" for now. I feel blessed and overwhelmed to of been able to make this journey happen. Thank you to all that have been in it along side of, crossing paths, sharing ourselves and creativity that has blossomed just by expressing what we go through in life.
My London time will be filled with the cosmopolitian "vibe" with theatre, museums, cafes and close friends/family. The urban life calls..."LONDON CALLING'!
