Miracle Waters

Two days ago I went to the Tirta Empul Temple and spent some time in the pure fresh spring water, this photo has not been retouched and I am amazed at the look on my face...pure joyful calm and serenity!  Being on the island of Bali has been something I have wanted to do for 2 decades!  I have had amazing "spiritual woman friends" tell me about their Bali experiences from Hawaii, London, France and California.  It finally was an easy maneuver in my travels to come here and so I am planted for 3 months.  Living in Ubud in a fine hotel for $450 a month, with full bath and work space, balcony and king bed has made me feel like an absolute princess!  The swimming pool is gorgeous and getting around by scooter for $50 a month is great too.  I am mostly spending my time in Ubud and enjoying indulging in the yoga scene here.  The cafe's are almost all health food style cafe's and restaurants are supportive of the vegetarian and vegan community.  The end of my 1st month is arriving and I have to leave and go round trip to anywhere to be able to come back in with a new visa, next time I will extend in the country but for the 1st time I will be going to Singapore for the day and night and seeing the botanical gardens there and the city lights at night!  I am excited to go but twice as excited to come back for yet another magical month in Ubud and experiencing the community here, rejoicing in the music, art and style of this place!

Tirta Empul Temple

"Inside the central courtyard, referred to as ‘madya mandala’ or ‘jaba tengah’, pilgrims first approach a rectangular purification bath where there are a total of 13 elaborately sculpted spouts that line the edge from west to east. After solemn prayers at an altar-like shrine, they proceed to enter the crystal-clear, cold mountain water. With hands pressed together, they bow under the gushing water."

Ubud; One Word...OM

Ubud doesn't need much explaining for people that know of it or have been here, however for those that haven't, it is a place that brings spiritual and physical support for people that are clearing out their beings, re-energizing their souls!  It is a well known place for yoga and holistic whole foods.  Ubud is a small town on the island of Bali in Indonesia in the upper rice paddies of the mountains.  Many people from all over the world can be found here, as a haven for enrichment and rediscovery of the self.  Dedicating time to be here and be involved with some of the courses/classes on offer is a timeless gift.  I am fortunate to be here for 3 months as I await for my Nepalese time to begin mid-September when the weather there is fine.  There are many yoga centers in Ubud and the one I have chosen is called Yoga Barn, a fabulous mecca of buildings with eco-friendly standards and a divine café to boot.  Over 13 classes of yoga a day to choose from and many special classes with breath work, sound healing, Tibetan bowl meditations and soothing chanting/toning with like minded souls.  In an atmosphere like this I am excited to see what kind of paintings come forth for me, I am itching to put brush to paper but am giving myself a week of pure indulgence first to unwind and BE here and allow the subtle energies in my body, mind, deep soul and dancing spirit to come forth.
